A Moment in Time

My dad was born Feb. 1, 1938 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. This was a huge event in my grandparents lives. They had married later in life, she was 29 and he was 31 on January 28, 1928 and the event took place at Taylor Presbyterian Church.

It would a month short of 10 years before they welcomed their son John. The story that has passed down to me is my grandmother although pregnant multiple times, she wasn’t able to carry to term. I have been told she had 13 miscarriages, it may not have been that many but it was a high number.

The scrapbook I have is soley dedicated to the cards received by my grandparents after my father’s birth.

The scrapbook is a wonderful treasure from what must have been a very happy time in my grandparent’s lives!

    I just wanted to tell you that I have received the results from Ancestry! My nephew Glenn is working on transferring my results to Gedmatch!

    I have many matches, some are completely different than the ones with FTDNA!

    Hi Patricia!

    I haven’t wrote to you for a long time!! I had a nice surprise last week! My search is over, I finally found my bio mother! Her name was Marjorie Regan, from Toronto! My father lived also in Toronto not too far where Marjorie used to live! My father was James Edward Madden! So on both side I am Irish! I still don’t know how I could be related to someone in your family, but if you need some names I could give you names on my mother family tree, but I don’t have too many right now! Glenn is helping me to put every thing together! Glenn, my nephew who is a genealogist too, worked very hard for me!! I can’t believe that at my age I finally know my own identity, and my origins! On the father side it is Irish, and German! Mother’s side it is Irish, and English! Take care, Nicole 🤗
